What is an ALIV eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM card embedded into your device. A SIM card stores the information needed for your phone to authenticate to the Aliv network. By using both a Physical SIM and an eSIM, both the phone numbers can make and receive voice calls and send and receive text messages (SMS).
This means you can have your personal and business phone numbers on one device, or you can add a second phone line for travel.
What devices are compatible with eSIMs?
iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later with iOS 12.1 or later.
How much does an eSIM cost?
eSIMs cost the same as a physical ALIV sim.
What happens if I am switching to a new device?
If you are switching to a new phone you will need to visit an ALIV store to be issued a new eSIM.
Can I put regular ALIV plans on an eSIM?
Yes, you can.
Can I use an Aliv eSIM at the same time as a physical SIM from another carrier?
Yes, if your device is unlocked you may use an eSIM with a physical SIM from another carrier.
Will my eSIM work while roaming?
Yes, your eSIM is compatible with roaming in most destinations, such as the USA and Canada. If you plan to travel Internationally, it is recommended to use a physical SIM card.
When I upgrade my device, how do I transfer my eSIM to the new phone?
You must visit an ALIV store if you upgrade your device.
Can I use an eSIM to have my number on more than one device?
no, you cannot. Like a physical SIM, an eSIM can only be installed on one device.
Can I delete my eSIM?
you can delete your eSIM from your phone through the phone settings, or by resetting your phone to factory settings. This is recommended before selling your phone. In case of accidental deletion, be sure to keep your receipt with the QR code. You may re-scan the code to re-install the eSIM onto the original phone.
Data, however, you may notice reduced speeds.
